While I wait for a supply to arrive for my breed study for needle felters, I’m starting some new projects! The first one involves figuring out what to do with 3, extra large, used dryer balls.
The dryer balls served their time well in my dryer. But their surface has loosened up and they’re starting to shed wool onto my clothing. I don’t want to throw them away. Why waste perfectly good wool, right? I decided to use one as the base for a bunny.
The bunny needs to be reasonably sized so it doesn’t won’t take weeks to complete. Inspired by all the Easter decorations I’ve seen on Pinterest, I decided to loosely base this bunny on the chocolate candy Easter bunnies I received in my Easter basket as a child.
The video above documents my process and the decisions I made along the way. Here’s a detailed look at the final bunny!
